Two Months From Today

Well, we are down to exactly two months from today until this awesome Elder leaves for his mission. I don't want this to sound cheesy or anything, but looking back on the first day I met this great person, he has always been preparing for his mission. I met him about three years ago, and I am sure he has been preparing even way before that. It seems like there are a lot of boys who do dumb things in their teenage years, and then when it's time for their mission, they all of a sudden shape up. Jeff is not like that. That's what I really like about him. He just an amazing person. He is a true gentleman. He is respectful and one of the kindest people I know. He tries to please as many people as he can. He works so hard in all that he does, and he is an amazing example to me. He has really taught me so much! I look up to him a TON! He has been an inspiration for me. He also has an awesome sense of humor! He is a way cool kid, and he is going to be such a great missionary!

BYU vs. Utah

I'm finally coming out of depression enough to talk about the football game last Saturday. The annual BYU vs. Utah football game did not turn out as I had hoped it would. I was sad that Utah lost. But don't worry, this was the first time in FOUR years that BYU beat the Utes. I have not seen a BYU fan for FOUR years either. Us Utes are different. We don't hide when our team when our team looses. See this picture of me? I am wearing my Utah hoodie. The Utes still deserve a butt-load of support! That's my school after all. Go Utes!

My Public Apology...

I just want to make a public apology for my Thanksgiving Holiday Special. We had some camera problems on Friday, so I have not yet downloaded the pictures from Friday's activities, and my sister, a.k.a. Natalia, forgot to bring the camera with us on Saturday! Blah! So pretty much my whole blog special basically fell apart!

On a happier note, I went on another date with Jiffy Butter Muffin on Saturday. And, as usual, it was flippin' sweet! I pretty much had a blast!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Finally, the holiday we have all been waiting for! We went to my Grandparent's house for Thanksgiving today. She lives about 20 minutes away from us, so we didn't really have to travel, which was nice considering I am a little sick this week. I didn't take the camera with us though, so I did not get any pictures for my blog until we got home.

This has been a pretty awesome break so far. Last night, I slept for 12 hours! You have no idea how badly I have needed this sleep! And pajamas are the best thing to wear! They are so comfortable! I put mine on right when I got home from my grandparent's house.

Hope you all have had an excellent and happy Thanksgiving! But, it's not over yet! I am celebrating all throughout the weekend! Wahoo!

A Picture's Worth A Thousand Words

Well that's just lovely.
Wow, I wish I had him for a dog.
It took me like three hours to do the shading of the upper sky.

Hope Floats

Don't laugh at this picture quite yet.......ok, go ahead and laugh. These are my first pair of glasses. As you can tell they are freaking huge! But I got them in about 1990, so everything was freaking huge in the 90's.

"Hope Floats," have you seen it? Great movie, allthough a little sad. But Natalie and I still find it quite the humorous movie. Why am I writing about this movie? Well, we just watched it tonight, but the main reason has to do with my grandma. When I was little, she always told me that I needed to watch this movie, because she thought I looked just like Bernice, the little girl in the movie, pictured here with Sandra Bullock. If you have seen this movie, do you remember when Bernice's Dad leaves, and Bernice is balling her eyes out? That is pretty much the exact resemblance of me when I was little. I was a very grumpy little girl. In all of our family albums, I can rarely find a picture of me smiling. My baby pictures are pretty much the only ones I smile in. My goal is to try to get some of these pictures scanned onto the computer for you to laugh at. But anyways, if you have not seen this movie, I recommend it. I really like the girl in it called "Big Doloraes." She is quite the bully. I have posted a picture of me on here wearing my first pair of glasses I had when I was two years old. I think it is these glasses that influenced my grandma to think I looked like Bernice.

My BEST friend, Meganagan!

I found out that my BEST friend now reads my blog, and was a little upset by an entry I made last week. I had to to name like 9 of my good friends, NOT IN ANY ORDER! Despite this, she was a little up set she was not first, so I've decided to dedicate today's blogging to her. So, Meganagan, you better read this!

Meganagan and I have been friends now for like 4 years. She is probably the best friend I've ever had. Though it has been said by our head swim coach that Megan corrupted me, she is a great person. She is so funny! She is one one of the most nice and giving people I have ever met. She cares about everyone. She tries to never leave anyone out. She is freaking awesome!

Now I have a story for Megan. I had to write this for my 7th grade English class, so bear with the grammar and punctuation errors in it:
The New Pet Fish
Johnny was a little boy the youngest child in his family. Because of this, everyone called him little Johnny. He was only five years old and was already reading on a sixth grade level. At school, since he was the smartest kid in the kindergarten. He did not have any friends. Everyone was just plain jealous of him. He was so lonely he spent most of his time reading. His parents thought he needed someone to talk to. So one day they planned a surprise. Here is how it happened.
On a cloudy day in spring little Johnny climbed off the bus and headed for home. As he was walking home he was making his plans for the weekend. Guess what his plans were? That's right. Reading.
By the time he finished his thoughts, Johnny was home. He walked up the driveway, into the house, took off his backpack and his shoes, ate a snack and went down the hall to his room. As he walked into his room, his face lit up! He saw in his very own fishtank, his very own fish. Johnny was so happy. He now had something to talk to (besides people.) It was such a beautiful fish. It was kind of green and white and blue. It looked just like the one in the book he fell asleep reading the night before. Johnny Now had a best friend.
The End.

This story reminds me of Megan. I think I will catch her a delicious bass or something, so that she can have a special fish to talk to. I think she has some special problems. But talking to a fish may relieve her problems and help her to deal with herself. Just kidding Megan! I hope this makes up for you being upset at that list! Luv ya tonz!

Saturday Night Dates......

I went on a date last Saturday night, with Jiffy Butter. We went to the Veterans Day concert, at the Huntsman Center, where his little sister was singing. I have never been to this concert, and I really liked it. It was pretty sweet! After that, we went to his house and watched the movie, "The Princess Bride." This is a great show that can be watched over and over. Anyways, while watching the movie we enjoyed some buttery popcorn and hot apple cider. It began to snow outside while we were enjoying the movie. He brought me home at about midnight. But we ended up staying out on the porch for like 45 minutes. I didn't get inside until almost 1:00 a.m. But it was really awesome to be outside at night, while it was snowing, aww! It was really really fun! Are you jealous Nedge?

Sisters

My sisters are crazy! But I would probably be crazy without them. They smell kind of like chlorine! But I have to be careful. I am the weakest one, and they can all beat me up, including Emily. Maddie is married, so she has pretty much forgotten about me.....just kidding! Natalie is very naughty! She is one who needs to be watched very closely! Especially at church. I am the adopted one. I don't really look much like my sisters, or my parents, so I have come to the conclusion that my parents picked me up off the street. They probably saw me and felt bad for how nerdy I looked. What they don't understand is that nerdy is cool! Even though my sisters are pretty weird, I luv em!

Time, where hast thou gone?

Yesterday, I registered for spring semester classes. How crazy is that? There is still one more class I must register for, but I have to wait until next week. I also need to sign up for an Institute class. So far, my classes for spring semester are as follows: Math 1040, Meteorology 1010, and History 1700. Nest week I will hopefully be signing up for Health 3050.

Registering for classes makes me really nervous. Why? Because I wonder where the time has gone. Fall semester is allready almost over. One month from today is my last day of classes. Yep! But then I have a final on December 14th. I also wonder if time is even passing by fast enough. It is, though. I still can't believe I am in college! It's crazy, it's crazy!

Gross Bikini Boys!

Some of the weird highschool boys really need to wear modest speedos. When I go down to coach my young swimmers, I am completely appalled at the skimpyness of some of the boys' speedos. It's gross! They need to convert from girly figures to masculine men. Why do they think girls like this? It is disgusting! I don't want to see boys' buttcracks because their speedos are 5 sizes too small! Have you ever heard of preparing for a MISSION?!?! I just can't take it anymore! I don't want to marry some feminine boy! Sick! That is almost as bad as a gay boy! Blah!

I Miss This

Swimming! I miss it so much! The hardest part of graduating from highschool, was completing my last year of competitive swimming.

I started swimming competitively when I was in 6th grade, and finished my senior year of highschool. Now I am just a lap swimmer. I think I miss work-outs the most. One of my favorite things about swimming, was working my butt of in practice, and then being so dead, that I could barely walk to the locker rooms to shower after practice.

I miss the permanent smell of chlorine in my skin. My bed use to smell of chlorine every morning when I would take my covers off. When I would sweat, I could smell the chlorine in my skin, seeping out. One of my favorite stories of the smell of chlorine was from my A.P. English teacher during my senior year. After our morning swim practice, a whole bunch of us swimmers had the same A.P. English class together. We would all walk in, tired, with wet hair from our morning swim. We all sat on the same side of the room, and we took up about half of the room. Our teacher said that every day, in that class, it smelled like chlorine. That is so funny!

My hair was constantly wet from swimming, so I always wore it pulled up tight.

I miss being skinny, and being able to eat whatever I wanted.

I really miss swimming my distance race, the 500 free. It was my favorite. I loved the feeling of adrenaline pushing me to swim harder and harder, even when I was so fitigued and tired.

I miss spending 3-4 hours in a pool each day.

Now, instead of a swimmer, I am an assistant swim coach for a youth swim team. I coach kids of ages 6th grade and younger. It is actually really hard for me to coach, because I would rather be the swimmer in the water. I love the water. After spending 6 years in the water, it pretty much became a second home to me.

Swimming is so awesome! I miss it!

Basements

Holy moly! Basements are freezing! I love living in the basement, except during the winter! It is starting to get really cold down here! Trying to type on my computer is like trying to build a snow man in Alaska while wearing only a swimming suit! It is freezing! Maybe I'll just go to bed. Once I'm in my nice warm covers, I'll be fine.

Libraries

Libraries are awkward places. Why are we supposed to always be silent in libraries? Sure, people may be studying, but we should not have to let those few nerdy people ruin our fun. Libraries are an awesome place for friends to chill! They have computers with the internet for free, public use. They have free books and magazines to look at. They even have some soft, comfy chairs. Honestly, who would not like to spend an entire Saturday hanging out at the library?

Regarding libraries, let's speek of librarians. I feel that librarians are mentally abused by the media. They must be one of the most stereotyped people in the world! Whenever you watch a T.V. show or a movie, how are librarians portrayed? They are always old, ornery ladies with their hair pulled back, real tight, in a bun. Any they always wear creepy little glasses attached around their necks with sparkling diamond chums. What the heck? This is so not fair? This could greatly influence what kinds of people are hired to be librarians. Paula Abdul should have the same chance to become a librarian as the rest of us!

If books, and magazines, and computers in libraries are used for free, then how do staff members at libraries, including librarians, get paid? Don't tell my they are paid with the late return fees, because that would probably only get them one dollar a week! This is a question that has boggled my mind forever. How? How are they paid? With what money? Where does the money come from?

3 Months Encounting...

Elder Jiffy Butter Muffin

This amazing picture is of the city in California known as San Diego. This is where one of my best friends (in the above picture) will be spending the next 2 years, serving an LDS mission. He got his call last week. Not only does he serve his mission in San Diego, but his mission is also a Spanish speaking mission. How exciting this is! He leaves January 31st, 2007, which is exactly three months from today. I will miss him, but it will be a good miss. He will be a way awesome missionary!
